Mold may appear on uncooked ham and bacon products. Simply wash off in hot water and scrub mold off with a stiff brush before cooking. Like fine aged cheese, dry cured hams and bacon tend to mold under certain conditions.
This product is shipped by UPS directly from Smithfield. UPS delivers Mon - Fri. Items ordered together may be shipped separately. If Express Delivery (2 transit days after processing) is required or desired, it needs to to be selected on the drop down bar on this page when ordering. This will add $15.00 for shipping. Express Delivery is required for Alaska and Hawaii. Next Day Air and 3 Day Select shipping are not offered for this item.

Cook and Care:
Please refrigerate or freeze ham slices upon receipt.
Smithfield Country Ham slices may be refrigerated unopened for up to 6 weeks, or opened and tightly wrapped for up to 10 days, and still maintain maximum flavor. Tightly wrapped ham slices (do not use aluminum foil) may also be frozen.
Your country ham slices are uncooked. We suggest heating in a frying pan approximately 2-3 minutes per side until fully cooked.
Smithfield Country Ham slices are dry cured with sugar and salt. No further seasoning is recommended.
Perfect for biscuits, sandwiches, as an accompaniment to a poultry or seafood entrée, or chopped for salads and omelets. Delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
SLAB SIDE MEAT
Your salt cured slab side meat will ship in a sturdy corrugated gift box. Ice packs or dry ice are not required for shipment.
Because of the unique salt curing process, refrigeration is not required. Please keep in a cool dry place.
Put in vegetables while cooking and cook meat to an internal temperature of 160°F.
Country Slab Side Meat is dry cured with salt, sugar and pepper. No further seasoning is recommended.
Great for seasoning green beans, pintos, collard greens and many other garden vegetables.
Empty contents of a single bag into a clean mixing bowl. Add 1 cup cold milk to the bowl and mix well until no dry pockets of mix remain. Roll the dough to ½" thickness. Grease biscuit cutter edges and cut out biscuits with the enclosed cutter. Bake at 400°F in a regular oven for 10-14 minutes or until done. Brush with melted butter if desired. Makes 12-16 biscuits.
Serve with country ham slices and apple butter. Delicious for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Empty contents of bag into a clean mixing bowl. Add ¾ to 1 cup water to the bowl. Mix batter until slightly lumpy and add more water for thinner pancakes. Grease griddle and preheat to 375°F. Pour batter on to griddle for your desired size pancakes. Flip when bubbles appear and stay on surface.
Serve with country slab bacon and maple syrup. Delicious for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.
