Cook and Care:
Smithfield Hometown Original Sausage
Your sausage ships frozen with dry ice in a recyclable Styrofoam cooler and may arrive frozen or partially thawed. Please refrigerate and use within 5 days or re-freeze upon receipt. If frozen, please thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Sausage may be refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months, and still maintain maximum flavor. Skillet Method – Slice thawed sausage roll into 16 thin patties. Place in a skillet. Cook over medium heat, turning to brown evenly, 13 to 18 minutes. Sausage isn't just for breakfast! Delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or your favorite recipe.
Applewood and Cherrywood Bacon:
Your smoked bacon ships frozen with dry ice in a recyclable Styrofoam cooler and may arrive frozen or partially thawed. Please refrigerate or re-freeze upon receipt.
THAWING:
If frozen, please thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
STORAGE:
Sliced bacon may be refrigerated for up to 10 days or frozen for up to 3 months, and still maintain maximum flavor.
HEATING:
Skillet Method – Place bacon slices in unheated skillet. Cook slowly over low heat to desired crispness, turning occasionally.
Oven Method – Preheat oven to 400°F. Place bacon slices on a broiler rack or shallow baking pan. Bake 15-17 minutes or to desired crispness.
SEASONING:
No further seasoning is recommended.
